This article explains whether Levity patients need lab work or bloodwork before receiving a prescription, whenab results may be required, what blood tests may be requested, how to upload lab results, and what to do if you do not have recent bloodwork available.
Do I need to complete lab work or bloodwork before receiving a prescription?
For most Levity patients, bloodwork is not required before starting treatment.
However, some patients may be asked to provide recent lab results to help ensure treatment is safe, appropriate, and personalized to their medical history.
When is bloodwork required?
Levity may request lab work if you:
Have type 2 diabetes
Have pre-diabetes
Have certain underlying medical conditions
Report specific symptoms or risk factors during consultation
Require additional clinical review
Recent lab results help Levity clinicians assess your overall health before approving treatment.
What lab tests may be requested?
Requested bloodwork may include:
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
A Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) helps assess:
Kidney function
Liver function
Electrolyte balance
Blood glucose levels
These results help clinicians evaluate whether GLP-1 treatment is medically appropriate and safe for you.
Lipid panel
A lipid panel measures cholesterol and fat levels in the blood, including:
Total cholesterol
HDL cholesterol
LDL cholesterol
Triglycerides
These results may help identify cardiovascular risk factors or underlying metabolic concerns.
Why does Levity request bloodwork?
Lab results help Levity clinicians:
Assess treatment safety
Identify underlying medical risks
Review metabolic health markers
Personalize treatment recommendations
Determine whether additional monitoring is needed
Providing accurate and up-to-date lab work may help support safer prescribing decisions.
How do I submit lab work or blood test results?
If bloodwork is requested, you can securely upload your results through your Levity patient dashboard.
To upload lab results:
Log in to your Levity account
Open the medical records or document upload section
Upload your recent lab results
Submit the documents for clinical review
The Levity clinical team will review your lab work as part of your intake or follow-up consultation.
