Do I Need to Visit a Doctor In Person?

This article explains whether in-person doctor visits, video consultations, phone appointments, or clinic appointments are required for Levity treatment. Use this article if you want to understand how Levity’s online telemedicine process works, how clinical reviews are completed, and how monthly treatment check-ins are handled.

Levity is a fully online telemedicine service, so in-person doctor visits are not required to begin or continue treatment.

Levity’s digital care model allows eligible patients to access weight loss treatment, clinical reviews, and ongoing support remotely from home.

There is no need for:

  • In-person clinic appointments

  • Waiting room visits

  • Video consultations

  • Scheduled office visits for routine treatment reviews

How does the Levity process work?

1. Complete an online medical intake

After signing up, you will complete a secure online medical questionnaire.

The medical intake typically includes approximately 17–20 questions covering topics such as:

  • Medical history

  • Current medications

  • Weight loss goals

  • Lifestyle information

  • Existing health conditions

The questionnaire can be completed online from most devices, including phones, tablets, and computers.

2. Clinical review by a licensed prescriber

Once submitted, your information is reviewed by a licensed healthcare provider.

Clinical review typically takes approximately 1–2 business days.

The prescriber may review:

  • Your medical history

  • Medication eligibility

  • Safety considerations

  • Current health conditions

  • Supporting documents if required

If additional information is needed, Levity may request:

  • Lab results

  • Additional medical records

  • Verification documents

  • Further health information through your secure dashboard

Some patients with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or other medical conditions may be asked to upload additional documentation during review.

3. Monthly treatment check-ins

Levity requires ongoing monthly check-ins during treatment.

Monthly check-ins help the clinical team:

  • Monitor side effects

  • Track progress

  • Review treatment response

  • Adjust medication dosing if appropriate

  • Ensure treatment remains safe and effective

Patients can report symptoms, concerns, and progress directly through the Levity patient dashboard.

Are video calls or phone appointments required?

No. Levity consultations and monthly check-ins are completed through the secure online patient dashboard.

Most patients do not need to:

  • Attend video appointments

  • Schedule phone consultations

  • Visit a physical clinic location

This allows patients to complete treatment reviews and follow-up care remotely and on their own schedule.
