Is Compounded Liraglutide with B12 likely to become unavailable in the future, similar to Compounded Semaglutide?

Compounded Liraglutide with B12 is currently considered less likely to become unavailable than compounded semaglutide.

Semaglutide is no longer on the FDA shortage list. Although compounding pharmacies may still technically compound semaglutide, there are ongoing legal and patent-related concerns involving the manufacturer, Novo Nordisk.

Liraglutide differs from semaglutide because:

  • Liraglutide is currently on the FDA shortage list

  • Liraglutide is no longer protected by patent

  • Compounded liraglutide does not currently face the same patent litigation concerns as semaglutide

Because of these factors, Compounded Liraglutide with B12 is expected to remain available for the foreseeable future.

Levity will continue to communicate any future changes to medication availability.

How much does Compounded Liraglutide with B12 cost?

With Levity, Compounded Liraglutide with B12 costs:

  • $129 for your first month

  • $179 per month thereafter

The Levity monthly cost includes:

  • Compounded Liraglutide with B12 medication

  • Prescription and clinical review

  • Follow-up appointments

  • Shipping and delivery

  • Unlimited clinical support

The monthly cost remains the same even if your dose changes during treatment.

Does liraglutide work as well as semaglutide for weight loss?

Both liraglutide and semaglutide are GLP-1 receptor agonists that are clinically proven to support weight loss.

However, clinical studies suggest semaglutide may produce greater average weight loss than liraglutide.

  • Semaglutide was associated with approximately 15% body weight loss over 68 weeks [1]

  • Liraglutide was associated with approximately 8% body weight loss over a similar treatment period [2]

Individual results can vary depending on:

  • Medication adherence

  • Dose titration

  • Diet and nutrition

  • Physical activity

  • Medical history

How much weight can I expect to lose on Compounded* Liraglutide with B12?

In clinical trials, patients using liraglutide lost an average of approximately 8% of their body weight over just over one year.*

For best results, Compounded Liraglutide with B12 should be combined with:

  • A reduced calorie diet

  • Regular physical activity

  • Long-term lifestyle changes

Individual weight loss results may vary.

How quickly will I see results with Compounded Liraglutide with B12 compared to semaglutide?

Weight loss results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as:

  • Dose titration

  • Consistency with treatment

  • Diet and exercise

  • Individual response to GLP-1 medications

Because Compounded Liraglutide with B12 is taken daily, weight loss progression may feel more gradual compared to weekly semaglutide treatment.

Some patients may notice appetite changes earlier, while weight loss itself may develop gradually over time.

Why is Saxenda in short supply?

Increased demand for GLP-1 medications such as Saxenda, Wegovy, and Ozempic has created supply shortages across the market.

Demand for these medications has increased faster than manufacturing capacity, leading to ongoing stock and availability issues.

Supply disruptions may continue while manufacturers work to increase production.
